DOS USB Bootable Drive Setup Problem - F; doesn't show

I'm in the process of trying to create a USB DOS Bootable drive per the instructions (thank you for putting those together!).

Everything runs fine, including fix /proc/sys/vm/mmap_min_addr to get dosemu to work. I get into dosemu and boot.log shows:

device: /dev/sdb1 type 3 partition# 1 h: -1 s: -1 t: -1 drive E:
CONF: cdrom MSCD0001 on /dev/cdrom
CONF: config variable c_system unset

However, E: is /media/CDROM and F: is invalid...

Any thoughts or hints on how to see /dev/sdb1?
