Im not suprised, why does a business version of Vista need Zune support? I am sure that by the time it releases for the public, it will have Zune support. There would be no one in their right minds that would not give it support, unless they were TRYING to let their product die.

I'm not so sure MS isn't trying to make their product die. Maybe it is a New Coke scenario.

Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today?
Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection.
Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!

The software may not be compatible but if you can just "drag & drop" MP3s onto the Zune who would care if the software is not compatible with Vista?

USB Mass Storage is not enabled on Zune because Microsoft considers it too hard for normal users...

Which is all the funnier because it is easier to drag and drop files rather than use bundled software, usually.

Some people may not agree. I'm not one of those people.

Why they would disable the feature is the real question.

I smell a DRM issue.

But what would DRM have to do with how the file got on the Zune? Could MS actually have a scanner that scanned each file before it was transferred?

No mass usb is the dumbest thing EVER. I refuse to use programs to transfer data to my PSP, I do it all by hand.

And, chances are, they will package Zune with some crappy trial program that you need to buy to get all the features of.

They disabled it for a reason and it can't just be because of ease of use. That is for sure.

how dumb can MS be for not having their stuff to work with each other. I thought MS usually force their stuff to work on their system. Zune looks nice with the large screen and other features. Though I am not sure for people who got ipod will switch it over yet.

This was all just a Microsoft blunder that happened because they are now scratching and clawing to catch up with another company who has done something better than they ever will. The product was rushed. The only thing it did is make them look as desperate as they really are.

"I knew it. I'm surrounded by a$$holes!"

I think Zune was rushed, Vista has been in production for a LONG time. I think disabling the mass USB is a death wish.

Another problem I have with the zune are the colors... Brown? This is the 21st century, people want to see bright colors, or black.
