What editor is your mainstay for programming/text editing/html/css? Personally I have fallen into using Crimson Editor. I know some others who use Ultra, but Crimson has done pretty much all I needed. That being said, perhaps there is some additional functionality I am not aware of and might be missing. So what editor do you use in your daily programming/html chores?

I use Visual Studio.NET for html/css/php editing when designing webpages.

If I'm doing some really quick editing, like fixing a spelling error on a site, I just open good ol' Notepad. Smile

EmEditor... not free but works real good. The 30 day trial convinced me to buy it. Works for near every programming launguage. If you want the address search google.

I use vi when I'm SSHed into my Linux boxes, but other than that... I need something that uses a mouse Smile.

I wouldn't be surprised if you hate vi Wink have a look at nano. and gvim is graphical vim with mouse support.

that's what I suggested nano for, which doesn't have the potential frustrations of vi.
and the gvim suggestion was in case you love vi Wink
